座耙
601.座耙要求規(guī)范.- 除外國鐵路的直達(dá)火車外，后者只提供部分里程的座耙，機(jī)械工業(yè)公司可以對所有郵政列車、特快列車和旅客列車提供座耙。這些座耙可以在指定的服務(wù)上正常運(yùn)行使用。

602. 座耙組件.- 總部發(fā)行了一本展示座耙組件手冊；手冊涉及所有相關(guān)生效信息的新時(shí)間表.
603. 座耙的區(qū)別標(biāo)識.- 所有指定車輛或座耙要求在轉(zhuǎn)向架構(gòu)件的左手側(cè)采用印刷體大寫字母和數(shù)字進(jìn)行標(biāo)識。總部辦公室負(fù)責(zé)區(qū)別標(biāo)識。

604.商店銷售座耙建議.- 在商店銷售座耙之前，工作經(jīng)理要求以下列形式向副主席提交建議書。該建議書要求提前一個(gè)星期送達(dá)；方便總部辦公室在銷售前，聯(lián)系安排好另外定期檢測的座耙:-

605. 專用服務(wù)和全程服務(wù)的列車車廂.- 按照要求，專用服務(wù)和全程服務(wù)的列車車廂通常要求和座耙銷售商店采用相同廠商. 在無法實(shí)現(xiàn)該要求時(shí),相關(guān)區(qū)域負(fù)責(zé)人安排臨時(shí)服務(wù)車輛提供目標(biāo)識牌，如有必要，在模板上采用字符標(biāo)識.

606. 座耙鏈接.- 座耙的運(yùn)行根據(jù)總部辦公室制定連接方式，采用客車允許最大使用的物件，方便維護(hù)。

Block rakes
601. Provision of block rakes.-The Mechanical Branch provides block rakes for all mail, express and passenger trains, except that on through trains to and from the foreign Railways the latter provide their share of the rakes on a mileage basis. These rakes normally run intact on services to which they are allotted.
602. Composition of block rakes.-A booklet showing the composition of block rakes is issued by the Headquarters Office to all concerned whenever a new time table is brought into force.
603. Distinguishing marks on block rakes.-All vehicles or block rakes allocated to various services are distinguished by a block letter and number painted on the left hand of their sole-bars. Allotment of the distinguishing marks is made by the Headquarters Office.
604. Advice of rakes turned out by shops.-Before turning out a rake from shops, the Works Manager will submit an advice to the Vice-Chairman in the form reproduced below. This form must be sent at least a week in advance, to enable the Headquarter Office to communicate date of out-turn to all concerned and to back another rake requiring periodical overhaul:-

Number of carriage. Description. Gross weight. Whether fitted with complete equipment with “Kent” coupler and magnetic switches or wire only. Remarks regarding ice compartment, compartment reserved for ladies, emergency tool-boxes (portable) and through service (Lahore-Karachi, Lahore-Ouetta), etc.
605. Carriages for sectional and through services. - Carriages required for sectional and through services will, as a rule, be turned out of shops along with the rakes on which they will run. When this cannot be done for any reason, the Divisional Superintendent concerned will arrange to supply the vehicles temporarily utilized on such services with destination boards, where necessary, and to have block marks stenciled on them.
606. Rake links.-Block rakes are run according to links framed by the Headquarters Office with the object of marking the maximum use of passenger stock while keeping in view the requirements of their proper maintenance.
